TENANT EVENT HIRE INFO.

For the smooth running of all hires, we have an established process on which Rochelle Management is happy to provide guidance.

when to book your event

1. For events involving either alcohol or music, we need at least 10-working days notice of your request for a hire, in order that we can apply for the relevant license.

2. For all other events, we need at least 5-working days notice.

advance information required

In advance of any event, please provide:

  • An outline of the purpose of hire.

  • Details of hire times and dates.

  • Names of everyone using the Hall, including staff and freelancers.

  • An equipment list.

  • In the case of more extensive use of the Hall, a written Method Statement and Risk Assessment. Rochelle Management are happy to assist with both documents.

public liability insurance

A Public and Employee Liability Insurance Certificate to the minimum value of £10 million.

Note: as a tenant you should already have this in place under the terms of your lease.

usAGE guidelines

These guidelines apply to all areas within Rochelle:

  • No permanent alteration of Hall or grounds are permitted.

  • Depending on the use of the Hall, payment may be required for additional overhead costs (staffing, power, lights).

  • Tenants may not make connections to the electrical system other than plugging into standard sockets. Covers from electrical panels or boxes must not be removed.

  • All electrical equipment used during your hire will need the correct certification, such as a PAT test.

  • For security reasons, all freelancers and crew should wear a Rochelle name badge or freelancers card - without identification they may prevented access by Rochelle staff.

  • At the end of your hire, the Hall must be returned to handover condition.

conditions of hire

Tenants must adhere to Rochelle Conditions of Use or Hire, a copy of which can be provided by Rochelle Management.
